Okonomiyaki Robot cooks traditional Japanese flour pancakes
Remember the Japanese Robot who can be programmed to wash your dishes? Well now this guy can be accompanied by another one of his kind who will cook your food as well. Yes, the ingenious Japanese know exactly how to pamper us lazy folks and have created a robot who can cook! Named Okonomiyaki Robot and developed by Osaka-based robot makers Toyo Riki Co, this wonderful robot can cook a traditional Japanese flour pancake. The robot displayed his culinary skills in a demo at the International Food Machinery and Technology Exhibition in Tokyo. He stirs the ingredients in the bowl pours them on the heated cooking pan, turns the dish over with spatulas and serves it on a plate to famished bystanders. And like a true chef he even asks what kind of sauces and condiments you would like with your dish of Japanese pancakes.
Definitely amazing, as long as you are willing to survive on Japanese flour pancakes for the rest of your lives that is.
