Researchers claim that the G-Spot in women may be a myth

The much-hyped G-spot or erogenous spot in women may not actually exist, claim researchers after their study conducted in the Journal of Sexual Medicine involving 1,800 women. The King’s College London team state that the G-spot maybe a figment of the women’s imagination, triggered by magazines and sex therapists. The study entailed women, who were all pairs of identical and non-identical twins, were asked if they had a G-spot. Going by login, if one twin had it, the other ought to have it since they share the same genes. But it turned out that not all twins shared the G-spot. Few of the researchers and sexologist claim that the idea of a G-spot is subjective and that it is unnecessary to feel inadequate without it as the existence of the entity has never been proven.

The G-Spot is a term coined in honor of the German gynecologist Ernst Grafenberg who described it over 50 years ago. It is supposed to be situated in the front wall of the vagina about 2-5 cm up. Some researchers stated that they had found an area of thicker tissue among the women reporting orgasms and that they could locate the G-spot using ultra-sound scans.
