Robotic plant releases oxygen, dances and greets people
|

A robotic research laboratory in Korea called Chonnam National University has created a new kind of robotic plant with various new kinetic and electronic functions. Besides greeting the people like a pet every time it perceives human voice nearby, the plant can emit oxygen, aroma, and moisture like its real-life counterparts do. The researcher have designed the plant to react to different stimuli--switch on the lights and the flower buds bloom and close repeatedly, and play music and it actually dances. This robotic plant with a stem and five flowers stands 4 ¼ feet tall and measures almost 16 inches in diameter.
