Teen girl electrocuted while twittering
It’s tragic when you hear of a teen dying and it’s even more tragic when you realize that it was due to a silly fad. Maria Barbu, 17 was killed after being electrocuted by dropping her laptop in the bathtub. It seems that she was twittering while relaxing in her bath and tried to plug in her laptop with wet hands after the battery died. She had been on Twitter for quite some time before the battery ran out. Her parents found her in their home in Brasov, central Romania with the laptop near her. Hopefully, kids will learn to be more cautious from this incident and leave electronic items away from bathrooms. A few minutes away from social networking sites won’t do anyone any harm.
