The classic SNES Controller Cake: Delicious

This is it! The hunt is over. I have found exactly what I want on my birthday next year, and I bet a lot of you out there will echo the sentiment! I can’t count how many hours of my childhood were spent playing Mario with the old SNES controller. What better way to celebrate this vintage controller than with cake! Check out this awesome and scarily accurate cake version of the classic SNES controller that has us drooling. Created by a friend of Reddit user drewmoney, the cake features all the buttons and D-Pad with perfect shapes and coloring. To add to the yumminess, the baker has also included a few “mushroom” cupcakes to accentuate the Nintendo flavor of the entire thing. While we love all the modifications Nintendo has made to the later versions, the fact is that we sometimes miss the simplicity of the old ones – sort of like we miss the simplicity of our childhoods. This cake takes us back to those magical days!


The Nintendo SNES controller cake is definitely no child’s play to prepare. We wish the brilliant creator of this masterpiece would be kind enough to release a tutorial or something like that, so that every classic gamer fan can try this one at home.
