Wearable health monitoring systems to help you get fit
|
In a bid to monitor people’s health comfortably and without having those ugly white patches stuck on the body, the HealthWear concept has evolved. This project is funded by the Directorate General Information Society of the European Commission and aims to provide accurate and reliable health monitoring, especially of those in rehabilitation phase. The patients can just wear the suit and the respective data is transmitted to a tiny mobile sized device. This suit is made up of special health care clothing and includes sensors to monitor the heart rate measurement, blood flow, perspiration, stress and temperature. It is much more comfortable than those sensor patches attached to the skin. The patients can also go about their daily activities with this suit on and improve their life style effectively. Nurses won’t have to the patients and wake them up form their sleep to take readings if this concept actually takes shape.
