Women are not comfortable at gadget shops

Roaring traffic at (success) of Gizmodiva proves that in this day and age, girls and gadgets go hand in glove. Gone are the days where gadgets were synonym to boys stuff only. But there’s one hitch to this whole fact. Women are complaining that they are being ignored or offended by sales people when shopping for electronics. Now guys that’s some serious trouble as companies and sales people should realize that it’s not only testosterone that controls the purse strings. In the poll by Saatchi and Saatchi, a third of women internet users said they would spend more on gadgets if retailers learned how to approach them. Most of the women studied felt that every time they go to these places, the sales staff thinks that women don't know anything. Jerks! What’s more insulting is that they don't tell you the same features as they would when your husband goes along. It is rightly quoted that ‘There's a fine line between marketing to women and talking down to women.’

More from the survey reveals that only 9% of those questioned felt it was important that gadgets looked feminine. In addition, many said that they felt patronized by pink digital radios and diamante-encrusted mobile phones.
