Feline fashion arrives with cat costumes creating a stir!
This is a very important piece of read for those who own cats and love them like their babies or even more than that. If you are one of them then you will identify with cat-owner or cat-dresser Takako Iwasa of Tokyo, who has revamped her white cat by dressing her up in not just hideous clothes but with hair, hat and the works. The result? She has created a stir in Tokyo where everything ‘Kitty’ related is accepted and loved to the extent of worshipping. Iwasa, always had a desire to dress her furry cat up just like dogs have been donning avatars for more than 20 years now.
She thought she could do something out of this idea and she launched her website in December 2000 with pictures of a dolled up Prin (her cat). Flick through her catalog and you will see pictures of Prin and her companion, Kotara, dressed as Anne of Green Gables or adorned in lacy Victorian-style hats and cloaks. They are dressed as Hogwarts students and samurai warriors, and wear jaunty straw boaters. What’s next Prin as Lady Gaga???
