Arte Luise Kunsthotel: The Comic Room is worth the visit
|

“Berlin is worth a visit for this art hotel experience alone”-so says The New York Times. I totally agree with them. Take room number 306 for instance. Ever since I saw that video on A-Ha: Take on me, I always wanted to know how it was to live in a cartoon strip. Now live it I will have to travel to Berlin, Germany to the Arte Luise Kunse hotel and stay in room number 306. The rooms are designed just like a comic strip room. There is a characteristic touch to every corner and angle. They all are outlined with a thin hand-drawn black line, just like comic strips. Ceiling, bed, and plugs… the detailing is amazing. They have imitated the colors use in the strips like papaya green walls, sunny yellow rug, lilac bed and pink cupboard. The artists have enhanced the room with graphics and decorations. Unlike comic book rooms this room has the shower room in the hallway.
It is interesting to note that almost al the rooms in the Arte Luise Kunse hotel are done up by artists and have many themes like Boogiewoogie, Yellow, In the seventh sky and a quirky one called Dreams that money can buy!
