Edition Red via Smart ForTwo

Red is forever the color of the season for all Gals. Guys too enjoy splurging on this color cause it symbolizes passion! A sizzling sexy red sporty car is just what you need to make your friends and their autos go green (obviously with envy) on the road. This dinky car harks back memories of our childhood days when we vroomed such toy-cars all day long. DaimlerChrysler has announced a new special edition Smart ForTwo known as 'Edition Red' to mark the phase-out of the current model, making way for the successor to arrive in spring 2007 (and in 2008 for the United States). A new limited version set to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show; the Edition Red is just as sporty as it looks. And as the name says, the tridion safety cell and body panels are drenched in "intensive red".

The current model is already as good as sold out and it has achieved cult status within a very short space of time. The Edition Red has a Brabus engine with 75 horsepower. It also has 16" alloy wheels, a front spoiler, and rear sports muffler. The interior is enhanced with "elaborately stitched" leather and alcantara. An MP3 interface, premium audio, and air conditioning are also part of the package. The Smart ForTwo Edition Red is available as a coupé or a cabrio and costs $26,872 (€ 20,995) and $ 30,335 (€ 23,695) respectively.
