Volvo S80 is good for Women’s “peace of mind”

No one likes to be a statistic; especially if it involves tackling a sick mind that gets sadistic pleasure out of freaking you out by hiding in your back seat. Women are easy target when it comes to sneaking up and attacking them in deserted parking lots or on lonely highways. Many car manufacturers try to do their bit, but the only one who has gone that extra mile is Volvo. Their new S80 has a safety feature that may help avert such sticky situations and probably save some lives. We often live in the misconception that bad things won’t happen to us, but unfortunately they sometimes do. The Volvo S80 comes with a Personal Car Communicator; the PCC literally relays information as to what is going on inside the car. It can exchange information up to 330 feet from the car, and works as an authentication key. The PCC can auto-unlock car doors upon approach, and the dashboard features a pushbutton ignition. It displays info regarding the car doors (whether they are locked or not), it uses flashing lights to warn the driver about an intruder hiding in the car. A heartbeat sensor can detect the biorhythms of a living body be it an infant, the family dog, or the intruder hiding in the back seat.

When you leave a baby in the back seat and the PCC will beep a safety reminder when the doors are locked. And when you tap on the on the status button of the PCC while approaching the car, it will beep and vibrate to alert you about the intrusion (if any) so that you can summon help without the bad guy realizing this. Like they say it’s better to be safe than sorry! Take a bow Volvo!
